How to encrypt a usb and give Password Protection to your Pen Drive using win 7/8/10 bitlocker

Having Pendrive with important files inside is kind of backup of our work and keeping that documents or files safe is other thing,so today i m going to tel you how to protect your usb pen drive by applying Bitlocker password to it without any software.

for this we are not going to use any software or any trick..its just in-built system option which we have to enable it and that’s called “Bitlocker”.

Bitlocker security is windows less known function which plays an important role in securing drives.  so for that let’s get started :-

Before proceeding make sure you have plug-in pen drive so while enabling “bit locker” system can detect pen drive in order to apply password to your pen drive.

Once all set then first enable the function called “Bitlocker” for that go to “Control Panel” >> there go to “Bitlocker Encryption Device”

after click on that it will take you to next page with your pendrive detected with followed by in front with  “Turn On bitlocker” click on that to “turn on  bitlocker”

After that it will pop the window asking “Choose how you want to unlock the drive just click and check [√] in front of  ” Use a password to unlock the drive”   and type your password and hit “Next”

Once done with that it will ask for to save the your recovery key select ” save the recovery key to file”

once followed the above pics it will ask for “are you ready to encrypt this drive”  just hit “start encrypting” at the bottom button. and it will start its process of encrypting.

Done! now just remove pen drive and plug it back and now your pen drive is password protected!!

First Step: Download “Mini tool Power Data Recovery” from here and install it. before installing it will give a warning of “CAUTION:NEVER INSTALL THE SOFTWARE ON THE DRIVE THAT CONTAINS LOST DATA.THIS MAY CAUSE DISK OVERWRITE AND PERMANENT DATA LOSS!!” so make sire you install this tool in a separate drive to avoid troubleshooting.

Second step: after installing the tool just open it and select “undeleted recovery” to recover the deleted files, if you have deleted the whole partition accidentally then you can recover that too as i said its multiple beneficiary tool.

Third step : After selecting “Undeleted Recovery” it will ask to select the drive from where you want to recover the files.(If you want to recover the files from pen drive the make sure you have already connected the pen drive so its will scan that drive to show up in listed drives)

 

Fourth Step: After selecting drive hit the “Scan” button. it will scan the files that have been deleted from that specific drive.

fifth Step: once its complete “scanning” it will show the list of files which has to recovered. select the files by checking and hit “Save” button. select the desire location to save the recovered file and done!!

Make that profile Picture Un-clickable :
