Prevent Windows 7 Rebooting

Many windows software required reboot to take its changed effects. But some time its too irritating and time consuming when windows reboot itself without notification. but today we are gonna learn that how to NOT let the windows to reboot itself whenever any updation is done!! so lets get out of inconvenience.

  • Press Window Button+R to open the RUN box, Type “regedit” Hit ENTER it’ll take you to the registry editor there just go to the following path:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows

  • There Select and Highlight “Windows” and right click of mouse and choose ” new Key” and name “WindowsUpdate” to that folder.

  • Now select “WindowsUpdate” and highlight it, right click of your mouse and choose “New DWORD(32-Bit) and give that DWORD name as “NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers”.

  • open “NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers” and “just” change the value data to 1 and click OK.

Now exit registry Editor and reboot it to take changes.
